Privadeer ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Deer Rock Studios, based in Bucharest, Romania, European Union. We are committed to protecting your privacy — it's literally what we do.

1. What we collect

Browser Extension (Privadeer Privacy Score)

The extension runs entirely on your device. It does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Specifically:

We do not collect your browsing history
We do not track which websites you visit
We do not send any data to our servers
All tracker analysis happens locally in your browser
No analytics, no telemetry, no cookies

The extension requires the activeTab and host_permissions permissions solely to analyze tracker elements on the page you're currently viewing. This data never leaves your device.

Exposure Check: If you use the breach-checking feature, your email address and breach results are stored locally in chrome.storage.local on your device. When you check for breaches, your email is sent to Mozilla Monitor and/or HaveIBeenPwned to look up known breaches — these are trusted, independent security services. We never see, receive, or store your email or breach results on our servers.

Privadeer Web Service (privadeer.com)

If you create an account for our premium data deletion service, we collect:

Email address — to identify your account and send you reports
Payment information — processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details
Names and identifiers you ask us to remove — the personal data you want deleted from data brokers, stored encrypted and used solely to submit removal requests on your behalf

2. How we use your data

To submit GDPR/data deletion requests to data brokers on your behalf
To send you privacy reports and breach alerts
To process payments
To respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Ever.

3. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers within the European Union, encrypted at rest and in transit. We use Cloudflare for infrastructure, which provides enterprise-grade security.

4. Your rights (GDPR)

As an EU-based service, you have the right to:

Access your personal data we hold
Rectify inaccurate data
Delete your account and all associated data
Export your data in a portable format
Object to processing
Withdraw consent at any time

5. Cookies

privadeer.com uses only strictly necessary cookies for authentication if you have an account. We use zero tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or third-party trackers. We practice what we preach.

6. Third-party services

Stripe — payment processing (their privacy policy)
Cloudflare — hosting and CDN (their privacy policy)

7. Data retention

We retain your data only as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently erase all your data within 30 days. Deletion request records are kept for 12 months for legal compliance purposes.

8. Children

Privadeer is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
